Updated: Jan 12

The Famous Mississippi Mud Cake has been in our family for generations ; along with so many other wonderful recipes brought to us by my Great Aunt Reba! She was a woman of class who enjoyed travel, fashion, and decadent food!

This recipe is always a favourite at gatherings. It tastes and looks amazing! From the melty marshmallows covered in chocolate to the fudge brownie bottom!

Let's get baking!

Ingredients

Mississippi fudge Cake. Icing

1 1/2 sticks salted butter 1 box powdered sugar

1 1/2 cup all purpose flour 1/3 cup coco

1/2 cup coco 1/2 stick butter

2cups sugar 1/2 cup milk

4eggs 1tsp vanilla

1 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

In a large bowl combine flour, coco, and sugar whisk to combine. Crack eggs and in a separate bowl, mix with melted butter. Combine with dry ingredients and fold in chopped nuts! Pour into greased 9x13 pan and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

While your cake bakes lets whip up the icing! Melt your butter and let cool. Mix together butter, milk, vanilla and coco and whisk until smooth and creamy! Once your cake is done remove from oven and top with Marshmallows. When your cake is cool pour on icing and enjoy!

Happy Baking !
